Digital easy-to-operate type thermostats work great.

a washer and dryer set at the Universal Design height.

Elevate washer & dryer 9” height from finished floor. Both appliances should be front load and have an easy-to-see and use control pad conveniently located in the front.

An open hallway with proper lighting.
